The International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD) held their annual conference in October 2021. The main topic of the conference was “Building a Resilient and Water Secure Danube Region”.

The Danube Learning Partnership (a cooperation of IAWD and national water utility associations to deliver capacity building programs in the Danube Region) has adopted programs to help utilities improve themselves in important areas of operations (www.d-leap.org). One of the main programs of IAWD is the Integrated Asset Management Program (AM) organized in cooperation with GIZ and Hydro-Comp Enterprises. The program was presented in a dedicated session entitled “Roundtable: Explore the D-LeaP tools for efficient water services”.

The objective of the session was to hear the views of participants in the programs and share experience how capacity building programs such as AM can help utilities to prove the efficiency of their services and what the main challenges encountered are.

Dr. Petros Kolovopoulos presented on behalf of Hydro-Comp Enterprises our innovative Cloud Based Solution on Integrated Asset Management and its implementation in the region under a program entitled “Asset Management Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South-eastern Europe” (SEEAM).
