We’re thrilled to have had Dr. Dinos Constantinides representing EDAMS at the African Water and Sanitation Association’s International Congress & Exhibition (AfWASA ICE 2025), where transformative discussions focused on the integration of sanitation systems with climate policies and the adoption of innovative technologies that drive low-carbon economic growth.

Dr. Constantinides joined industry leaders to explore how the adoption of climate-friendly sanitation technologies can help African nations meet both sanitation and climate targets. Experts from across the continent discussed the importance of unlocking necessary finance for sustainable sanitation systems and policies.

In another key session, Dr. Constantinides contributed to a compelling conversation on the role of data and performance management systems in improving sanitation service delivery across Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. He outlined the importance of EDAMS systems in improving Utility performance and referred to the new EDAMS – NSS (Non-Sewered Sanitation) management system currently being developed under a grant by the Gates Foundation, through Dev. Afrique, promising to optimize planning, service delivery, and performance management in the sanitation and hygiene (WSH) sector.

A big thank you to the AfWASA community for facilitating these vital discussions. We are excited to continue innovating and collaborating to advance smarter, more sustainable sanitation solutions across the region.
