On December 7, 2017, the workshop with the topic of “Asset Management Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South-Eastern Europe“ was held for Public utilities (PUCs) and Local government units (LGUs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Workshop was organised for PUCs and LUGs who shown interest for capacity building in the domain of asset management.
Around 30 participants from 13 PUCs and LGUs from Novi Travnik, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Travnik, Bugojno, Donji Vakuf, Busovača, Teslić, Jajce, Kreševo, Mrkonjić Grad, Hadžići and Kiseljak participated in the workshop.
The overall concept of the program implementation, most important figures and benefits for PUCs and LGUs were presented during the workshop, as well as the way how PUCs can apply for the participation in the program.
The representatives of the host, PUC “Vilenica-Vodovod” Ltd. Novi Travnik presented the achievements and benefits of their participation in the SEEAM program, as well as the objectives in the further program implementation.
In addition, the information about possibilities for increasing employees’ knowledge and skills necessary for provision of quality communal water services and better PUCs management were also presented. The registration forms have also been delivered to the participants who want to apply for the program, namely to participate in the new training series planned for spring in 2018.
